Requesting Cards in Emburse Spend

Users can request Emburse Cards and Virtual American Express Cards in Emburse Spend.

All Emburse Cardholders must request cards that have their legal first and last names, as we can no longer issue physical or virtual cards that have place names, non-users, or locations place of a first and last name.

For an example of how to request cards, watch the video below, or follow the written instructions: 

 

1. From your Personal Emburse Spend Dashboard, click Request New Card

2. In the New Card Request pane, fill in the required fields, then click Request Card.

  • Card Purpose: Describe what the card will be used for. 
  • Budget: In USD, fill in the balance to be put on the new card. 
  • Frequency: Determine whether you need a recurring budget for the card (for example, if it is for a monthly subscription), and how often the balance should be reapplied. 
  • Category: Choose an Expense Category from the dropdown menu.

Your request will be sent along the approval route configured by your administrator. You can view your request status by clicking Cards in your personal sidebar.

Once the request is approved, it will appear on your Emburse Spend Dashboard, and you can begin to use and manage your card.
