Add New Users to Emburse Spend

Administrators can invite new team members to Emburse Spend at any time from the People screen.

Administrators can also manage their team on the People screen, including editing user information, adjusting user permissions, and deactivating users.

Admins must enter valid and legal first and last names when creating new members in Emburse.

Invite Users to Emburse Spend

To invite team members to Emburse Spend, click People in your Admin sidebar. In the upper right-hand corner, click Invite.

You can invite people one-by-one by typing in the email of the person you would like to invite, or you can invite people in bulk by copying and pasting a comma- or space-separated list of email addresses.

You have two options for sending out email invites: 

  1. Send out email invitations immediately (this is the default option).
  2. Send out email invitations later, but add employees to the account now. 
Once an invitation has been sent, the associated email address cannot be modified.

If the email address is incorrect, delete the existing invitation by clicking the Trash button to the right of the user's name on the People screen. Then you may invite the user again using the correct email address.

Option 1: Send Email Invitations Immediately 

If you would like the employee(s) to receive the invitation email right away, just click the blue Invite button. You can add an optional note welcoming them to Emburse Spend. 

When you click Invite, the user will receive an email invitation prompting them to set up their Emburse Spend account. 

Option 2: Delay Email Invitations for New Members

You also have the option to send the invitation to the employee at a later time. This allows you to assign a manager and add rules and Team Fields to this employee's Emburse Spend profile prior to inviting them to set up their account. 

Simply uncheck Send an email invitation to user to access Emburse Spend now before clicking Invite.

The pending user will be added on People screen along with the rest of your team. 

When you are ready for the employee to join the account and receive the email invite, simply click Send Invite below their name on the People screen.

Set a Deactivation Date

An additional option you have is to set a deactivation date for an Emburse Spend account. This can come in handy when you would like to invite a temporary employee or are interviewing candidates who will need access to Emburse Spend for a set period of time.
