Setting up Taxes with the Intacct Connector

As an administrator, use this article to configure Sage Intacct tax sync so Emburse Spend can import tax profiles and export tax on approved expenses through the Emburse Intacct Connector.

This article applies to accounts that use the Emburse Connector on the Accounting Integration page. To confirm which integration you use, go to the Accounting Integration page. If the Connect action displays Connect via Emburse Connector, or your connected accounting integration description states that your account is syncing via Emburse Connector, use this article.

Connect via Emburse Connector button and View requirements link.

If the Emburse Connector path does not apply to your account, see Connect Sage Intacct to Emburse Spend.

Tax profile capture, synchronization, and export behavior may differ for organizations outside the United States. Review regional tax requirements before you export expenses to Intacct. For Intacct connector tax support context, see the Tax Support section in Get Started with the Emburse Intacct Connector. For general tax profile behavior in Emburse Spend, see Tax Support.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, confirm the following:

  • You have an Administrator role in Sage Intacct.
  • You have an Administrator role in Emburse Spend.
  • Tax support is enabled on your organization account.
  • You completed Intacct connector setup. See Get Started with the Emburse Intacct Connector.

Intacct Tax Sync

Tax sync applies when Emburse Spend is connected through the Emburse Intacct Connector. Go to Company Settings > Accounting Integration. If the Emburse Connector path does not apply, tax data does not sync automatically, and you must export tax data manually. See Export Your Expense Data (CSV and PDF).

With the Emburse Intacct Connector, Emburse Spend can sync multiple tax types from Sage Intacct.

When the Emburse Connector imports tax profiles, you cannot create tax profiles manually in Emburse Spend, and previously manually created tax profiles are disabled. See Tax Support for general tax profile behavior.
